Been watching the news this week? With all the conversations going on about the job plan, or the democrats losing a couple more seats, and the anniversary of 9/11 you might have missed:
1. In Egypt, protesters decimated the Israeli Embassy, forcing the emergency evacuation of the staff. There is no question that the government forming is anti Israel. They have stated that they will not honor the treaty Israel had with Egypt. When you look at the entire Northern Coast of Africa, the trend has been towards a take over by the Muslim Brotherhood. The Arab Spring, supported fully by Al Queda, has been about a move towards Sharia Law, a coalition of Islamic Nations, something very clearly stated as the original goals of the Muslim Brotherhood in their charter. Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, all nations that are in the areas mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are positioned perfectly to form a coalition. Before the Arab spring these nations were being ruled by totalitarian rulers who were never in a position to cooperate on anything, let alone an invasion of Israel. That is all changing in front of our very eyes.
2. Turkey cut off diplomatic ties with Israel. In an attempt to put themselves back at the center of the Middle East, the Turkish government has gone on record encouraging Palestine to unilaterally declare themselves a state. This is intriguing because Turkey is one of the nations mentioned specifically in Ezekiel 38 (Gomer)that will join the Gog/ Magog invasion. Up until now Turkey has been an ally, albeit an uneasy one, but at least a working relationship with Israel.
3. The PLO has announced that a Palestinian State will be Jew Free. Of course there is no mention of what to do with the Arab population that currently resides in undisputed Israeli Territory. http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/plo-official-palestinians-israelis-must-be-totally-separated-1.384493
If you’re curious, take a look at this map.. It’s really quite chilling how it is all coming together. All the nations spoken of thousands of years ago, aligning quite perfectly just as it was foretold.
As believers we are explicitly called upon, in fact commanded, to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.
My prayers these days are simple. The prayer of Jesus Himself. That “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. (Matthew 6:10) I hope you’ll join me in that prayer.
And in the words of John the Revelator, “Even so, come Lord Jesus, Come” Revelation 22:20
